Abdominoplasty

Abdominoplasty-Tummy Tuck

Endoscopic Abdominoplasty

There are 3 types of abdominal problems.

  1. Patients with sagging skin and bad skin elasticity
  2. Patients, who have a good skin elasticity and quality but a loose abdomen, mostly due to pregnancy
  3. Patients who have a good skin elasticity and no loosening of the abdominal muscles but only accumulation of fat around the region.

For the patients in group b, when bulging stomach muscle is a primary problem, the new endoscopic abdominoplasty offers an excellent opportunity for correction without the wide incisions that are required for the full tummy tuck procedure.

An endoscopic abdominoplasty, like other endoscopic procedures, is performed using a small camera, called an endoscope, which is attached to small surgical instruments. This gives endoscopic abdominoplasty a major advantage over the traditional procedure, the surgery can be performed using very small incisions that are easily concealed.

The incisions used in an endoscopic abdominoplasty are usually placed above the pubis or inside the navel. The muscles are tightened and sutured through the incision. Liposuction is performed during the endoscopic abdominoplasty to remove fat.

Recovery from an endoscopic abdominoplasty is also greatly aided by the minimally invasive nature of this procedure. Patients will still feel slight to moderate discomfort after an endoscopic abdominoplasty, and some swelling can be expected.

Like any other surgical procedure, exercising and stopping smoking prior to undergoing an endoscopic abdominoplasty will speed recovery and aid in the healing process. Most patients who undergo an endoscopic abdominoplasty are able to return to their normal daily activities within a week or two after surgery, although they will need to put off heavy exercise and strenuous activity until they are fully recovered.

Patients are given a list of detailed postoperative instructions, which include requirements for medications, hygiene, exercise and eating.

Corset Abdominoplasty

There are 3 types of abdominal problems.

  1. Patients with sagging skin and bad skin elasticity
  2. Patients, who have a good skin elasticity and quality but a loose abdomen, mostly due to pregnancy
  3. Patients who have a good skin elasticity and no loosening of the abdominal muscles but only accumulation of fat around the region.

For the patients with saggy skin, the only way to reproduce the youthfull belly is to perform a full abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) and resection of the excessive skin. The main philosophy of the procedure named corsed abdominoplasty is resecting of the excessive skin and creating a athletic abdominal apperance at the same time. Leaving lesser scar and creating minimial sense loss trough the cutting less nerves and painless postoperative comfort at last is another advantage of this technic. The procedure takes 1,5 hours under general anesthesia , the patiens take postoperative care at hospital for 24 hours before , it is possible to return work after 1 week.

You have to stop anticoagulant agents such as aspirin, herbal teas and aloe vera 10 days before surgery and dont forget to tell your doctor if you have any disease or routine drugs you have to take .

After surgery, you'll be wearing a surgical corset over gauze dressings. A small tube may be placed under abdomen drain off blood and fluids for the first day or two. After surgery you have to flex your ties to your abdomen and take V position to keep your sutures under your abdomen skin. You may rarely feel some pain for the first couple of days-especially when you move around or cough-and some discomfort for a week or more. You can return your work 5 to 10 days after surgery.

Patients are given a list of detailed postoperative instructions, which include requirements for medications, hygiene, exercise and eating.
